Thirst disease.?This arises from fear, overwork, and loss of power; the vessels in which the water flows are locked, and one of seven kinds of the disease is set up. At first there is thirst without relief from drinking ; the desire for fluid remains; pain in the temples, head, and mouth begins; there are loss of smell and taste in the bilious form ; also fever, jaundice, and fainting. When arising from weakness, loss of sensation in the skin is sometimes noticed. Death in fatal cases is ushered in by loss of speech, dryness of the fauces, fever, fainting, and cough. Remedies.?
